Ihop - La Jolla

Updated evaluation: After we had recently returned, we had the same friendly server and the food was delicious and fast, so I change my rating to 5 stars. I recommend visiting here. Old review: Friendly service, but waited for 30 minutes to order and heard that the kitchen was kept. We decided to go. You didn't charge us for the drinks because of the delay.

The new burgers are great, and a great price. At the IHOP off of the 15 and MiraMar Rd though the service SUCKS!!! We were the only 6 people in the restaurant and it took 17 minutes to get the waitress to take our order, and then 34 minutes to actually bring us our food.

This restaurant is consistently clean and always provides excellent customer service. It can get quite busy at times, but I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table, even when it's full. During my last visit, I ordered the Sirloin tips and eggs combo plate, which was delicious and generously portioned—I was able to take the pancakes home for breakfast the following morning! My son also really enjoyed the holiday Elf Menu!

I absolutely adore the stuffed crepes filled with cream cheese and drizzled with strawberry syrup. The breakfast options, featuring ham or bacon alongside sourdough toast and jam, are delightful. The corn beef hash paired with syrup tips is truly a special indulgence. The service is fantastic, and if they're not too busy, you can enjoy some great conversations. The prices are reasonable, and they offer a variety of side dishes, refreshing juices, and hot coffee. What’s not to love?

Here's the scoop: I received the wrong breakfast meat and was mistakenly charged for it. Sounds pretty bad, right? Surprisingly, it wasn't. The waitress quickly brought me the correct breakfast meat and fixed the bill without a fuss. She was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious overall, though the pancakes were only warm, which suggests they might have been sitting out for a bit too long. If you encounter an error with your order, don't hesitate to have the restaurant make it right. I would definitely return and recommend this IHOP.
