Bidrage med feedbackTulum Beach gem located in the jungle setting with exceptional food, clever mixologists and attentive staff. Concierge at Kimpton Tulum recommended and he was spot on for delivering a culinary experience and diamond in the rough. Seafood was exceptional in entrees and mains. We shared ala carte vs 9 course tasting. Attention to detail in presentation and flavours were standouts. Amazing chilli gel with prawn ceviche and wonton tostada. Blue corn mushroom “empanada” was delicious. Grilled octopus and squid ink adobo and sea bass filet in local spinach leaf with fennel dalad and caramelised fennel were stunning.
What an amazing find in Tulum. The food was incredible and the service was attentive and friendly. The waiter took the time to not only explain what each dish was but what part of Mexico it’s from. It was a great food tour of Mexico. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Tulum.
Pros- the ambiente is from this world. the personal is so nice. I recommend the mezcal tasting experience! that was definitely worth the price! cons- it seems that they needed more hands on deck than we were there. the service was painfully slow. sometimes. I ordered the 9-speed tasting menu. the lay time between the curses was painfully slow and the taste quality of the food went through clearly about the half. much of eating was also quite rich, many oils and creams slipped on. the inkfish was overcooked. would have liked to use more fresh ingredients to improve the aromes. was not crazy about dessert. some of the courses were nice? but overall I was not impressed by the tasting menu. I would come back, but I wouldn't order the tasting menu again. I'd just get one. the steak of my man was amazing! I think they were definitiw in the night we were there and it seems that this really affects the food quality and timing of our service.
This place is delicious. I like their concept, it is casual and romantic. Portions are big and the flavors super nice. We torcerse the crispy avocado and salmon. Then octopus and pork belly. Everything was worth it! For dessert we asked for churros, we are...mexican so we have tried a lot, but this ones were amazing! They melted in your mouth, also they were accompanied with dulce de leche and spinach ice cream. It was the perfect combination. Andrea was our hostess and our waitress, she provide a really good service, explained everything and made us feel welcomed. If you want delicious food, calm ambiance and great service, this is the place for you.
Gorgeous ambiance and definitely wild. We were bitten alive (as can be expected in the jungle) and we saw a raccoon walk through which was fun. Service was lacking (we had to keep finding our servers to check in, order drinks etc). Food was cold...which apparently it was supposed to be...but you kind of want ravioli and taquitos to be at least warm when you first eat them? Also everything lived up to hotel district prices and then some. SMALL portions for miminum $395/450+ peso price. Not filling. There are other restaurant options here in hotel district that are better in my opinion. Left dinner hungry. One good thing: their Grapefruit Mezcal beverage was insane.
