Bidrage med feedbackOn our way back to Aransas Pass from Dallas, we stopped here for dinner. The portions were enormous, and the waitstaff was very respectful. The shrimp cocktail was loaded with shrimp, and they were generous with the salsas, chips, and crackers. The cheese in the camarones a la diabla made me want to swap plates with my husband. The girls ordered chicken wings and said they were really good!
The service and location of the restaurant are excellent, and everything is always clean. I ordered the traditional lunch plate, which included beef fajitas, a beef enchilada, rice, and beans. The fajitas were delicious, but the cheese on the enchilada was not very appealing—it had a Velveeta-like taste. They might want to consider using a more flavorful cheese, like Longhorn Cheddar. Additionally, the flour tortillas were undercooked. The chips, salsa, and queso were decent, though.
We were shown to a table that was uncomfortably close to another group of diners, making us feel cramped. We opted to request a different table, which was met with some hesitation, as if it would disrupt their seating plan. I ordered the beef ribs, which were slightly overcooked, but the rice and beans were quite flavorful. The homemade flour tortillas were a highlight. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating to our requests. While the prices for individual meals were a bit on the high side, the portion sizes were generous. I might consider revisiting this restaurant to try a different dish and see if it could change my impression from my first visit.
Never disappoints! Food is hot and fresh and servers are attentive. Super fast food to the table. Try the jumbo margarita if you're driving if not get their Giant Margarita! So good. We try to stop every time we come through town. Complimentarychips red and green salsa and queso.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I also appreciate that takeout orders include complimentary chips and salsa.
