Bidrage med feedbackThe valet. staff: cordial and friendly . ambiance: many hard surfaces create the din problem. it's almost impossible to talk about dinner. for our visit we were sung by a saxophonist. an acoustic gitarre might have been better. we have been without talking how an attempt would have been meaningless. space settings contain only forks, so if they want to cut something with a knife (like a long strip of huh) they were leaving no options by the huh with the side of my fork was not possible. I had to spit off the long stripes and bits that worked from the end to an ignorant display for all. service: superficial. we ordered tapas, all at once overwhelming, what little space the tabletop offered. it could be better to bring tapas one or two to a time. service plates surpassed small dinner plates, the middle pieces (shore and vase) and all water and wine glasses had to become a space we named between two diners. the service boards themselves were a problem, even it was impossible to scoop each of the trio guacamole from the very, very flat servier dish. food: eating was quite good, nothing that told us, wow! but surely up to the par. overall: if the service had been a bit more attentive, what we did, instead of obviously trying to squeeze teller from the kitchen as quickly as possible, it would have been a much better experience. the decision to have a living saxophonist who ignites for the evening was sick. altiro would benefit by following the guided tour of some restaurants and installing some sound-damping waffels, drapes, tablecloths, wall suspensions, carpets, etc. to overthrow the dunes. the experience was a bad one, but not because of the food.
I was delighted to discover this place with my friend tonight. The staff was super welcoming, the menu although not overwhelmingly extensive was full of beautifully presented items with fresh often innovative ingredients. The restaurant has adorable decor and is really sparkling clean. I hope they add a few more light salad and ceviche items. I definitely will come back soon with my husband more friends. I believe they have music on Friday nights. A real winner to discover.
Sort of a strange take on tapas. Menu actually lends itself to ordering what seems like your own personal entree, as the taco dishes come with three to an order. The food was tasty and our waiter did a great job of answering our questions and making accommodations for an expectant mother in our group, but I was not blown away in any way. Cocktails were tasty but at the same price point as a swanky cocktail bar in the city, I just expected to be more impressed.
Food was good, and I would return to give it another try. Service was okay, our server just wasn't very friendly, any questions regarding the menu, she just seemed like it was an inconvenience to answer. Its a tapas and small plates place. Biggest complaint however, we did share appetizers and sides and we expressly mentioned we were ordering our own entrees (there was 4 of us) and our entrees came out at all different times (1st one, then 2 more and mine almost after everyone was done). at $50 a head I expect better service. I think if I return I'll get a some of the tacos and a beer or wine and see if its a better experience for the price.
Food and drinks are amazing. Waiter rushed a little and took plates or drinks off table without asking if we were done. He also poured a beer when my husband asked for draft.
