Bidrage med feedbackWe visited this restaurant twice on our trip, absolutely fabulous taste food. cooked to order freshly prepared. the zanzibar huh was amazing, and the lamb dishes were so tender. the restaurant was full, so there was a great mood over the place Great...friendly fun host also.
We got this place recommended and reserved a table at 8 PM. We’ve waited 1hr 50 to get served. The owner and the young lady were friendly but absolutely arrogant in the way that he explained he only had one cook in this pretty big...restaurant and that it was just the way it was in his restaurant that you would have to bring time. We decided to wait until the food would be served and thought at least the food is going to be great. The meat quality was good but the tagines were much too sweet. The only dish that tasted well was the revisited curry. By the time we got the food served it was so dark that we couldn’t even see what was in the plate. I personally also think that the food was slightly overpriced. Overall a bad experience, waiting too long, food much to sweet and table so dog that you couldn’t see what you were eating. Are usually don’t take the time to write reviews but given the overwhelming good reviews of all the other visitors I just want to warn you: if you’re not prepared to wait nearly 2 hours for your food then don’t go there
This is a charming place with a most engaging host called Gilles who is the owner too. The food is great value and totally delicious. A jug of house red wine complimented fabulous tagines served bubbling hot. It is a tremendous place to spend an...evening and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Superb!
This was by far the best meal we had in two weeks in the Garde and we had some very good food, so certainly the cream of the crop and definitely not the best of a bad bunch. The tagines were bursting with favour...and absolutely delicious. It's in a lovely setting in the middle of a really pretty village. Gilles and his team work SO hard and clearly do so with passion and I hope in the knowledge that what they are working so hard to deliver really is very special. An all round gem thank you Giles!
This place is just amazing. The food is absolutely delicuous and has a degree of excellence to it, that I have rarely seen before (more Gault Millau awards than you can count and rightfully so). However, what makes this a truely unique experience is the owner... he must be the nicest and most welcoming guy walking on earth. You can simply feel the passion for his profession. Would take the 10 hour drive just to eat here again. Absolutely loved it.
