La Cave - La Crosse

Beautiful place under a historical castle style house. had the scallops with risotto and an salat. reasonable prices, good service, delicious food.

This is in La Chateau. If you get a chance to get a drink here in the cave of Les Chateaux. I promised it to be the best experience you have in Lacrosse.

La Cave is a bar accessible by a rod iron spiral staircase. When you walk down the stairs you feel as though you have gone back in time. The place is like a beautiful wine celler with a long bar and two semi-private tasting rooms. I came here with my brother and his wife after house hunting in nearby Westby. They know my affinity for French culture and definitely hit the nail on the head with this place. It's beautifully restored to its 19th century roots. You dine in different rooms of the home as if you were actually a guest in the home.

This subterranean bar is one of La Crosse's best kept secrets! Great drinks and ambiance (there's even a waterfall in the bathroom).

Saturday night we had a fantastic time trying all of the smoked old fashioned's with the bartenders. La Cave is above first class.
