Bidrage med feedbackWe had a good experience at dish after a visit to Descanso Gardens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good enough. It's a large restaurant, so even though it was packed and Mother's Day, we were seated fairly quickly without a reservation. The coffee was good enough could've been a little bit stronger. (Full disclosure I need to super strong coffee to live. My kid wasn't that friendly and just had fries what she thought were good enough. I had the Florentine Quiche (though our server miss heard me initially and brought Florentine Benedict to start. That was quickly replaced with what I had asked for the quiche was perfectly prepared. Nice and fluffy key should be. Potatoes on the side. Could've used a little bit more seasoning did the job the potatoes are supposed to do. My wife had a Florentine Benedict without the English muffin as she is gluten-free. She thought it was good, but would've appreciated more gluten-free bread options. You can see the local appeal of a restaurant like this with lots of breakfast options, I mean stay when you want classic foods. If we lived in La Canada, I'm sure we'd be there often enough.
Breakfast was very good. I had eggs, bacon, and toast. I like the toaster on the table. Not all tables have them. Friendly servers. Nice ambiance with fireplace. It's been there a very long time.
This is a pretty standard diner food wise. However, the staff is phenomenal, especially the tattooed guy who appears to be the manager. Every one is friendly and deserves a raise. Did I mention the ratio of cabbage to vegetables in all my salads? I have been coming here for 97 years and the salads have never once had a slight variance in vegetal ratio. And truly, what more could you want from a casual dining experience in a quiet town, but unflinching consistency in cabbage distribution. Slaw Order
The food here is decent. It’s pretty good for a diner. We all had sandwiches/burgers and our kid had a corn dog. The people are friendly, but the service is a bit slow. (We came for lunch and it was relatively slow the majority of our visit. The parking lot is small, but we got lucky and found a spot on the street right out front. So, there is some public street parking. While we didn’t have it, their happy hour looks interesting and it’s cool to see a diner with a full bar.
One of the best breakfast I've had. The oat apple pancakes combo was simply delicious. Very clean place and the service by Sonia was excellent. I definitely recommend Dish restaurant in LA Canada.
