Lyn Anderson's Charcoal House

Our group recently went to the Charcoal House and went to the bar for some karaoke. I selected a song from the Karaoke Book and submitted my request. Our group of eight started a bar tab and waited for my turn on the microphone. When I was there, I went up and got the microphone. The DJ asked me “This is not a slow song, right?” I said it was and he said that I couldn't do it and that I "return the microphone". I couldn't believe what I heard. I got a song out of the book, we got a cash bill of over $100 while we waited, and then it was said that I couldn't sing the song. How about taking the “bad” songs from the book, so there are no misunderstandings? We went early for the treatment we received. So much to do what customers demand! The DJ actually sang more songs than everyone in our group combined!! The only thing that's more incredible is that I wrote the owner of the Charcoal House who told him about our terrible evening. Almost two months later, I have to get an answer. Not even a “Sorry, but so we do things” letter. So if you want to pay a lot of money for drinks and karaoke, take the DJ on stage the microphone out of hand and can only hear the songs that the DJ wants to hear, this is the place for you!! Otherwise, stay away. There are many other karaoke bars in San Diego County that want to please clients.
