Sushi Fukagawa Ryuji - Kyoto

Randomly stumbled in this place and was so glad that we did it! it is a bit off the beaten tourist route, so it is quiet and comfortable. the chef and his apprentice are rock stars. we had lunch and dinner, and both of us were some of the best we had in japan. the price rich $50pp, so they don't get on the cheap, trust me, it's worth every penny. I'm looking forward to the return.

Literally the best sushi experience of my life. It’s “chef’s choice” and wow what choices he made. There was literally nothing that could have made this experience better. So authentic, food/drink is of such high quality, there is such good energy and vibe... this is IT. Come, enjoy, and go along for the ride. It’ll be a fantastic 1.5-2 hours.

We’ve eaten from London to Lisboa from Firenze to Fitzroy and master chef Ryuji is the real deal. Excellent Sushi crafted from the finest ingredience.... enjoy. Has to be one of life's great pleasures ....

Wonderful Sushi restaurant that seats 10-12 people in the heart of Kyoto. It was fascinating to watch in anticipation while the chef created the Sushi. Wonderful flavours! We had 10 courses for 5000¥ at lunch. It took approximately 2 hours.

The sushi is amazing! Even my friend and I can’t speak English, there is a staff who can speak perfect English and explain each sushi to us! Highly recommend it
