My evening at nokishita711 was a real treat of a discovery and one of my favorite experiences on my recent trip to Japan. Upon entering this small, intimate bar, I was greeted by an eclectic mix of decor that created a relaxing yet stimulating ambience. Like the “liquid cuisine,” the entire place oozed creativity. As for the cuisine, each cocktail and food pairing was created from intriguing ingredients—meats, seafood, fruits, plants, and various types of liquor (both made in-house and by distilleries). I had the omakase, with 5 main courses, and also ordered one more cocktail afterward. Drinking the cocktails was a deeply meditative experience—each one had layers of flavor and complexity. It was easy to see the care and time that went into preparing the beverages as well as their food pairings. Tomoike-san gave me a thorough explanation of each course and was happy to answer my many questions about his process, sourcing, decorating style, and interests in liquors. As other reviewers have mentioned, please make sure you’re aware of what you are getting into before booking. This is not a traditional bar. If you come in with respect and an open mind, I think this will be an experience to remember.

The ingredients in these drinks are far from the ordinary but you don’t want to miss this experience. He even make tiny snacks with each drink made from the remaining parts of the ingredients from your drink (so green! and they are amazing! Highly recommend! Don’t miss out!

The most unique, creative and marvellous cocktail tasting experience ever : If you wanna know how cocktails could be taken to a next level, you should definitely come and appreciate their Omakase cocktails tasting. The cocktails are mixed with special exotic ingredients and they are all well-matched with the snacks. The sensation of the whole tasting experience is beyond pure cocktail or alcohol, it is more like an art for me. Will definitely visit again!

Very unique experience and highly recommended! Wide selection of drinks allows you to explore a variety of different choices. We took the 5 course journey and the tea ceremony. The cocktail master is very social and speaks English well. All the drinks and snacks are explained in detail. Highly recommened!
