Hana No Mai Kyoto Seafood Pub

Not a good start, wife called in the morning to book for dinner and all confirmed, when we arrive they denied that we didn’t book for the table, showed them call history and they squeezed us in but can only have the table for one and a half for someone else’s booking, food ok average, but not a good experience.

The place has a beautiful view and as you can enter You see what is very traditionally decorated, I loved the place, the great selection of food is very rich, the quality of sushi is very good, we also have the desserts with Matcha KitKat and they are very good. Would go back.

The food is okay but make sure you can tolerant that people would smoke around you. It is a smoking restaurant.

It located by Kyoto Station you can look at Kyoto tower whilst you are dining in. The quality of food was OK, but the staff were all nice and polite. A good seafood izakaya.

The staffs are not very friendly. Request for hot water but being rejected. The Japanese steam egg, chawan mushi, is not even chawan mushi. It was watery that you can drink the whole thing up.
