Bidrage med feedbackFinally some fine French food in town. I can highly recommend the new dinner menu and dining hours at the Farmers plate. Great atmosphere. Nice setting with separated tables and welcoming staff. The French menu has sufficient choices for us. The crispy Camembert salad was excellent. Beef burgundy is also very very good and finished with the best Creme Brûlée I have had. Well worth the $55 per head set price when one considers the locally sourced farm to plate ethos here which would prompt a cost triple this in a responsibly sourced suburb in the city. I can only say, make time to go here for a dining experience long missed in Kyogle.
Cute cafe, with a chilled outdoor garden dinning section. Had a yummy bfast and coffee was good
Wether it's dinner or cocktails Brad and his wife and staff have it in the bag.The menu is EXTENSIVE and the cocktails DEVINE.
My first visit to this restaurant was quite an experience. I had heard it's a beautiful place to dine, but we ended up waiting 50 minutes for our food to arrive. That said, we had a wonderful server who provided excellent assistance throughout our meal. After the long wait, we received a refund along with complimentary coffee and juice, which we truly appreciated. I loved the outdoor setting and, despite the delay, I would still give them a good rating. We will definitely return. Thank you!
Our drinks arrived promptly, and we enjoyed them all. However, the meals took an unusually long time to be served, adding to our frustration following the earlier slow start. Then things took a turn for the better. A very approachable lady from the kitchen, who wore glasses, came over to explain the situation. She candidly informed us that the main fryer had malfunctioned mid-shift, causing delays as the staff scrambled to keep up with demand. She sincerely apologized for the hold-up before bringing out our meals, which were, by the way, delicious and thoroughly satisfying. As we were enjoying our food, we realized we were still waiting for our sweet potato fries. Shortly thereafter, a humble gentleman from the kitchen delivered them to us, expressing his regret for the delay and sharing the challenges the team was facing. He even offered the fries complimentary as a gesture of goodwill. Although our visit began on a less-than-positive note, the staff's openness and communication were crucial in turning things around. Their transparency allowed us to understand the situation better and shifted our mindset toward patience. Bad luck can happen to anyone, and that day, The Farmer's Plate found itself on the unfortunate side of it. Looking back, if the initial hiccups had been avoided, we would have encountered a much smoother experience with calmer staff and quicker service, but we still relished our meals and drinks. We would gladly return to The Farmer's Plate for another visit on a "normal" day.
