We had booked this small restaurant for enjoying the sunset while having fondue. We were not disappointed. The view was fantastic, the fondue very good. To add to the experience, the locals started playing the accordion challenging each other with different tunes. Nice to be far away from the tourist crowd!

This small, rural restaurant used to be a cottage for the sheds and was transformed over the years into a small, cozy restaurant that offers a lot of porosity and local culture. The large terrace offers stunning views of Lake Lucerne, the Zugsee and the nearby areas. To observe the sunset on a cloud-free day, is simply stunning and magical, especially when the sun is gone and the entire landscape becomes red and blue. A real spectacle! The restaurant offers a simple but very tasty selection of local specialties such as local cheese, dry meat, sausage, bacon. Some meat specialities consist of their own cows; In summer, 110 cows live around the square, all wearing cow bells, which gives a great concert in a unique environment. There are also live local follore music on certain sunny days. The restaurant also offers raclette, in my opinion the best raclette can be eaten in the German spaking part of Switzerland, apart from Valais. A large part and you are set for the whole day! You should also try your homemade ice tea from alpine herbs. And there is also a wide selection of homemade candy. Like the tar with berries or apricots, freshly baked, I could have eaten two! There is also a small playground for children. Expect many people on the weekend. The whole area is famous for hikes, so the place is very common. To get there, use the cable car from Küssnacht to Seebodenalp. A 25-minute walk (Stroller friendly) takes you to the square. Or drive to Seebodenalp by car. There is a large parking lot with parking meters. Go from there in 25 minutes. Note: You cannot go to the cottage, it is marked as a private road and only accessible to the owners. The road has some narrow parts and intersection is difficult. On weekends, the parking lot is quickly occupied. Get ready!

A very small restaurant, typical Swiss, good food, reasonable prices, very friendly service, we loved it

Amazing outlook, but average food quality. Expectations should not be about vision and nature about food. As usual, more or less Swiss prices.
