Shinoki - Kurunjang

If you love Sushi, the Shinoki is the place to go. We ordered the 7 course sushi menu for $99, and it's worth it. Why? The quality of the sushi is exceptional, the variety and complexity of all tastes is well-balanced, and the decoration is also an eye catcher. My personal favourite was the fatty tuna. Sooo yummy! The whole restaurant is nice to look at, so you easily feel comfortable. The staff is quick, very polite and they explain everything. They also adapt for any allergies. Highly appreciated! Try the sake tasting plate. It fits well to the sushi. Overall, a nice experience and we will surprise some friends with this Toorak treasure. Thank you!

The appetizer and dessert were impressive and tasty. Sashimi and sushi were good but didn’t meet my expectations.

I was so surprised to encounter such a high quality of Japanese food in Australia! Though there are many Japanese restaurants in Melbourne, this restaurant is one of the few that serve AUTHENTIC Japanese food! The Sushi chef made sushi and sashimi directly in front of where we were seated, and his plating was like art. It was almost too beautiful to eat! All the staff welcomed us with a lovely attitude, and their service was wonderful overall. I've never had such a great dinner, even in Japan!
