De Barcelona 710 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn VIC 3122 @debarcelona_hawthorn We always walk past this joint and we finally ended up grabbing a bite here not long ago. Very cute and stylish decor, friendly atmosphere. We ordered: Traditional Churros Mini Churros w/ Vanilla Ice Cream Cheese Quesadilla Crema Catalana Churrocino Chai Latte Babycino We enjoyed our drinks and Crema Catalana which I believe it’s the Spanish version of Crème Brûlée. The cheese quesadilla was very thin and a little dry, the cheese wasn’t the right cheese and the dipping sauce that came with didn’t help either. The flavours didn’t work together and it was a miss for us, unfortunately. The churros were a bit dry but the flavour was there. It definitely tasted better together with the ice cream. Finn bites dining experience 3.4/5

Delicious traditional Spanish foods: jamon croquettes, chickpeas salad, seafood paella, filled churro and crema catalana. Refreshing Sangria mocktails. Great fast friendly service. Venue beautifully decorated. Nice background music.

Paella is fragrant, sweet, earthy, and slightly smoky, a complete festival of flavours; also generous portions with a fair price tag. I am also not normally a sweet tooth, but will make an exception for their Churros, which are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and well-dusted, accompanied with a delicious caramel and chocolate sauce. Will definitely be back!

Excellent food, exceptional service and a great atmosphere. The seafood, chicken and veggie paella are all incredible, the churros are delicious (especially recommend the caramel filled ones, wow! I also recommend the spanish hot chocolate if you're feeling like something a bit decadently sweet.

After dropping my brother-in-law off at home following dinner, I stopped by El Churro Cafe for dessert. This is the same chain you might see in a kiosk at Flinders Street Station, but here, the venue is spacious and tastefully decorated. They serve some really good churros, along with a variety of savory options as well. It’s a lovely discovery that stays open late, perfect for satisfying any sweet cravings!
