Bidrage med feedbackI can't think of many better places to hang out on a sunny afternoon than a microbrewery, and Bodriggy in Abbotsford is one of the best in Melbourne. This huge open warehouse is full of light and I love it's aged patina and industrial bones. Comfortable seating makes it even easier to hang around here for hours. <br/ <br/ This place gets packed and I've been here at times when it's really busy, but we came on a Thursday afternoon recently and it was a little quieter and had a more relaxed vibe. The staff here are cool and super friendly, and make you feel really welcome. <br/ <br/ Now onto the important part. The beer is obviously King here, and there are some great choices. Hubby was very happy with his choices, and I enjoyed the wine that they had available. There is also a really good food menu with a South American slant, and we enjoyed an excellent burger and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the meat was nicy seasoned. <br/ <br/ As much as I love a good wine bar, in the interests of a healthy marriage it's good to find a balance; so I'm more than happy to hang out at breweries when they are as cool as Bodriggy Brewing Company.
Have been wanting to venture to this establishment for quite a while and we finally came for a visit with a group of mates. We decided last minute to go for dinner at what must be the busiest time of the week (6.30pm on a Saturday eve) and sadly we were unable to book a table. So despite the health authorities recommending people avoid large gatherings because of the dreaded COVID-19 it seems we were among those who thought we would have one last hurrah before we were forced into self isolation. When we arrived the place was buzzing with patrons and had a cool vibe without the pretentiousness and great tunes coming from the next level sound system they’ve installed in this giant warehouse space adorned with vintage looking decor. With no booking and a crammed venue we hung around like awkward seagulls looking for a (chip) table. After 10 minutes and much anticipation from the gulls we finally got a tiny little table by the front door. Believe me we made it work between 6 of us.The service was friendly and the drinks a little to easy to go down. The food is ordered at the bar which was almost always busy. Dishes came out promptly and I have to say each dish we tried was pretty sensational for tex mex fare.. muy rico!! I can’t wait to come back to try a selection of drinks and more delish food. Highly recommend the pork taco, stuffed jalapeños taco, ceviche and the churro ice cream sando!
What's not to love. Food with a South American twist, good beer and a great vibe. The patacon is my go to Every time and the sun bather beer.
Having booked a table at Bodriggy in December for my birthday (no easy feat during the festive season), I was interested to see what the place would be like. It was a warm day and the air flowed through the warehouse quite nicely we had two tables booked and decided to just use one, a kind waitress offered to move people on who had sat at the reserved table. Food was great, lot of flavour and a great selection of beers too. Also tried the Bodo Tonic (four pillars gin, peach aperitif with house hibiscus and eucalypt tonic) which was a delight and very refreshing. We felt very welcome and we’ll definitely be back!
Came for a birthday dinner and the place was packed and busy since around 4pm until late. The Latin food here surprisingly is very good for a bar. The meat are juicy and soft. The sandwich was seasoned well and tasted robust. Highly recommend booking ahead of time if you planning to come in a big group as tables are hard to come by.
