Pie in the Sky Roadhouse

Wow! Do not let the old style shed look put you off. Go inside check the out the country homemade meat pie's just WOW! The pie pastry is very tasty on its own, the chunky bits of meat that you get from a country town pie is amazing, it beats all the commercialise minced up watery pies out in the city. The apple pie WOW again! Bilpin known for apples and other local grown fruits, you must try their apple pie with ice cream, its amazing. Kick back at the back enjoy the sun rays with some apple pie. Im tempted to try the other sweets next time i return to this roadhouse. Check out my pictures bellow.

Apple pie is delicious! It's not upmarket coffee shop...It is really roadside kiosk kind of shop:) But apple pie was really nice and I brought back home for kids. They really liked it too. It's perfect sweetness & crust.

Chilly winter morning and I was on the road to Mudgee. Popped in for a steaming coffee ☕ and a fresh hot pastie. Very nice place.

Used to be great for hot coffee BUT the inside is full of cobwebs dirty and the coffee took ages to get and was cold and weak - burnt slice in display cabinet peeling wallpaper sad looking and dirty - hope the kitchen is cleaner ?

We've been here a few times now and it never disappoints. If you're looking for something upmarket, you'll be disappointed - it's basically a shed in a meadow by the side of the road, but don't be put off by that, because the pies are truly delicious. We've tried meat pies, lamb and their delicious apple pies - yum.Take cash with you. They have discontinued their EFTPOS service, as it was too unreliable - just couldn't get a consistent signal, they told us.
