JOSEPH'S Restaurant & Bar

I had quiet high expectations after having visited their homepage. The staff was very friendly and the service perfect. The location is very nice (view of the Rhein) and the atmosphere very welcoming. As I was a guest, I cannot say anything about the prices. The menu (we had a big business dinner and were given a few menu choices) was very creative and trendy (avocado with salmon, mango sauce in the main dish, dessert with mint and citrus fruits etc.) and well prepared but didn't really met my expectation. Of course, everyone's taste is different but I perceived the entry dish to be very heavy on the salmon (it outweighted by far the avocado), the main dish rather tasteless (and not a gustatory revelation) but the dessert was good. Overall: I had a very nice and enjoyable evening with my colleagues as the service and atmosphere was very nice, although not quite the food I was expecting.

I cannot say about the price because I was a guest but the quality were excellent for food and drinks. very well done Gin Tonics.

I was there on a company event.If you want to have a good *original* wiener schnitzel, look no further. The cheapest schnitzel is about 24 euro, which would put it in the upper mid-range in the price category... But it is certainly worth it! (portions are big and flavours are sophisticated and full of surprises!) oh and of course, the restaurant is located on the banks of the Reihn river!We where with a large group, so Joseph's put a menu together for us. (see picture)I had the "Kalbfleischpfllanterl", the Original Wiener Schnitzel and the Kaffee Creme Brulee. All three courses where full of flavor and very satisfying. Definatly coming back!

The location of the restaurant is great, and the interior is well decorated.The building itself also has an interesting history as it was once a grain storage. I had the fish risotto which was a special. The risotto was delicious and the fish was average. I also tried the ravioli which I liked better. Both were quite good. It's a little pricy, perhaps a bit more than I'd be willing to spend in the future, but it was a good meal.

It is a very nice place in the banks of the Rhein river! We had a delicious and sophisticated menu full of nice surprises! The service was very friendly ! Certainly a must go in Cologne. Besides that the decor is modern and cosy.
