The Bananas Bungalow - Krabi

The bungalow and the surrounding are very beautiful, especially the pier and the mangroves. But the atmosphere was not was not what we had expected. If you don 't care about many birds in cages, Kois in a small pond and five angry Chihuahuas running around and barking all day long the place is perfect for you. We thought it would be more alternative/ hippie place with ecological values. That was not the case, they also still promote elephant riding as a tour. They say that everything in the restaurant can be made vegan or vegetarian but there is no vegan option for breakfast (no coconut yogurt etc), except for toast and jam.

If you’re high maintenance and expect a foreigner catering resort, this isn’t for you. Very friendly owner and staff! Definitely recommend this place! They’re awesome and will take care of you! Good food! Good amenities! We had a breakfast that was like a rice soup and it was amazing (can’t remember the name of it, sorry)! Kayaks for rent here and you can use them to get to the nearby islands. You’ll get to meet other travelers here as well! The bungalows are not houses, there is no AC and you will use fans. The bungalow we stayed in was in what we consider to be good shape. The floor was tile in ours. The bungalows have spaces where the roof and walls meet, so if it’s not your thing don’t stay here. They do provide bug/mosquito nets to set around the bed. There was also a hammock in front of our bungalow and multiple hammocks set up by the pier. Monkeys hang out by the bungalows so if this isn’t your thing, maybe don’t stay. The monkeys won’t bother you though ! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast

What a fantastic stay!! Do yourself a favor and come here. The place is just lovely with such a good energy, people, and facilities. It is definitely off the beaten track but do not let that stray you away. It is worth it. Away from all the crowds and touristy stuff to just relax and enjoy the nature around you. Beautiful place in a quiet and calm neighbourhood. Stunning views throughout the days and the pier is an absolute gem. Olli is a great host, super responsive and supportive thanks again for everything. Certainly recommend if you want to relax and disconnect for some time. Thank you Olli

Wonderful place with a great host. Beautiful views and quaint clean bungalows. Our children liked looking at the wildlife, monkeys, guinea pigs and variety of birds.
