Thaneer Panthal, a humble restaurant near a small water channel, proved to be amazing in taste and ambience. The menu applies to Kerala's native taste and the spices of the Kaottayam. All we tried was delicious and satisfying. The amount was also ideal that we finished everything to the last curry sheet. The family restaurant is with a toddy shop, but the team had arrangements so that the families who go there can enjoy their meal with absolute privacy and amazing ambience.

Very recommended. If you really want authentic Kerala style recipes visit this place. You have family rooms that are neat. Fresh living fish would also be served according to our requirement, although it may take some time. Variety elements such as duck,quail and fish are also in the menu.

Overall experience good, have gone there multiple times. Friendly staff, good food, service and reasonable rate. Unexpectedly neat toilet. They could have made better utilisation of the location they have there. Tried their chicken, beef, duck, crab, prawn most of which are fine. Talking about duck, plenty of stew but less piece, or rather not much meat from the pieces we got. Then prawns, wasn't well prepared to be honest. So wouldn't recommend prawns. But beef and chicken would be recommended, considering the rate as well. AC and private rooms available as well.
