Agora Taverna - Kos

Very nice square where you sat under very beautiful old trees. The waiters were very kind indeed. We didn't eat anything but sat there for quit a long time.

It was ok. You’re mainly eating here for the pretty location rather than the quality of the food.

Situated in the very heart of the most saturated tourist area on Kos, we got what with hindsight, what we should have expected. Average food. One dish never arrived. The group on the table behind us were having a similar experience too. On the plus side the staff were friendly and the view from the upstairs seating area was great. Price was reasonable.

They advertise themselves as home cooking and that is basically what this restaurant is so keep that in mind when you order food, junk food cooked like in a home kitchen, portions are big and so for example eating their hamburger and not get your hands dirty is physically impossible. Some of the dishes were a bit burned. Soup was very tasty. There is background music and all the seats are very comfortable. Amongst the trees this is a pretty cozy location. The prices are pretty cheap like many street restaurants in Kos. Would not go there again.

A fantastic place to sit and eat and enjoy a glass of wine. kostas and ali could not do enough for them and the restaurant owner was a very charming, polite and knowledgeable man. the food was great and we will return.
