Agkyra Fish In Kos Town

On the 4th august 2022, on the afternoon, on a windy (generally it is so) eat good sea, with a glass ice cold uzo, with very friendly things. the view is breathtaking to check the image. thanks for this unforgettable experience!

I ate here with my grandpa today, the service was awfully slow, starting from taking our order til bringing the food, we waited 45 min, horrendous (we had already ordered and wanted to give the tavern a chance, or else we would’ve stood up and left). The fish (sword and cod, if I remember correctly) itself were oily, but at least those garlic breads and fresh orange were tasty (hence 2 stars). Unfortunately after we both felt slightly sick afterwards, most probably from all the oil. All in all, I’m not able to recommend this tavern, but if somebody still decides to dine in, I sure hope they have way better experience than we had.

What a place! the food was beautiful, fresh, delicious, great wein and the place stunning! I and my friends had a lot of fun, the staff was impeccable, 2 waiters took care of our command, they placed us on a beautiful table next to the sea. they were friendly, super fast and precise! I had the most amazing fish in many months there! I'm so glad we landed here, we were all, all the dishes were sooo yuuummy! thanks young for a great night!

A beautiful place right at the sea, friendly and available staff and exquisite eating, especially fish dishes! they will also bring them a great dessert (in my case a great fresh cheesecake) that doubles the joy, stay there and enjoy their time. I suggest agkyra definitiw to have an unforgettable night!

Excellent location, friendly and efficient service and seafood was great too!!i The Agkyra is located along the waterfront's restaurant row in Kos town. It faces the Turkish coast and is located directly seaside . From the street you can look directly through to the Aegean sea. The initial impression as you walk in was of casual elegance. Tables are spaced discreetly out toward the sea with every table having an Aegean sea view. My table was directly waterside . The service was prompt but relaxed. No hovering which I like but attentive . My server was the very friendly and capable Sidorella. I ordered a glass of house red which was excellent. I also ordered a Greek salad (of course and along with that a fried anchovy app and the saganaki mussels. The anchovies came out first along with the Greek salad. The anchovies were lightly battered and then fried in olive oil delicious when served with the wedge of lemon. The Greek salad was excellent too although I felt it needed a bit more tartness and applied a squeeze of lemon. Perfect! The mussel dish was served about 20 minutes later which gave me ample time to enjoy the ocean sunset at tableside. The mussel were also perfectly well cooked with a tomatoey cheese sauce very different from any other time I've had mussels. Delicious ! Although no dessert was ordered, Sidorella brought out a very tasty slice of banana cinnamon cheesecake , compliments of the house!. Super smooth and creamy. The entire meal along with the great service and exceptional view was a reasonable 40 Euros. Very walkable from the Kos town waterfront.
