Bidrage med feedbackIt's Spargl season! we had luck in this charming restaurant after we had walked a bit through the city and looked at the menus. classic European or German eating and atmosphere, but with special menu items, such as various Spargl dishes, of which we had several. an salate, a suppe, then served with kalbsfilet as main dish. the lady responsible for the dining room did not speak English, but seemed to understand exactly what we were looking for, and was a perfect host. everything was very delicious and a great value for money for the reasonable price. look at the pictures of the main dish, yum!
In the bodanstraße, constanz, next to the shopping center, this hotel has a pleasant restaurant in the first floor. the service was good, without haste between the courses. the menu offers German cuisine and also has an extensive European wine card. the appetizers consisted of a huge garnel cocktail and tomato cream soup with a shot gin (cannot really taste the gin, but saw how it went in). a beautifully prepared rumpsteak (just as the Germans can offer) and weeping carved round off our food. against all food and culinary rules we have drunk a bottle of sancerre because we like it!
This restaurant is managed in third generation by a family originally from Serbia, and they also perform excellent work. eating is traditionally south German with elegant and refined accents and presentations. also the restaurant itself is elegant, with fresh table linen and polished glasses. we have eaten here with Swiss friends who were seduced by humbler trips over the border; the restaurant is just a few meters away from the Swiss railway station. also the staff is friendly and helpful. there is a good selection of South German weeping, supported by an international selection. come here for a relaxed, cozy and excellent lunch.
Great place for a steak and a glass red wine, not to forget the seafood and fantastic desserts. white tablecloths, cutlery but very inexpensive. exceptional value
This was the second restaurant dinner of our first longer journey to Germany. a restaurant in the second floor that was connected to a small hotel and was guided by a very authoritarian and sometimes badly lauded dame. we disliked her by ordering a single serving appetizer to share; she knocked on the table with her fingernail; when we insisted, she cried with the school. but eating was very good. the appetizer was the calf head with vinaigrette (cold headline with salat). our main dishes were a wild plate (a speciality of the week) and a sausage plate. we had an excellent and inexpensive late burgunder from the lake (spitalkellerei 2011).
