Visited this place few days back. This a casual dining restaurant and is a chain of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Its in the bylanes of Bentinck street, the lane opposite to Aliah Restaurant. It has some classy and elegant ambience which makes it a perfect place to dine in with friends and family. Starting from their mocktails to desserts everything was equally enjoyable. The walls are covered with graffiti of the heritages of the city of joy. The interior is very nicely done. It has a seating capacity of around 50-60 people. Coming to the food we ordered:<br/ DRINKS:<br/ 1. Peru pyala<br/ 2. Fatal attraction <br/ 3. Blue lagoon <br/ 4. Tarbooza<br/ <br/ <br/ STARTERS:<br/ 1. Chanajor garam(veg)<br/ 2. I was here for lunch a few days back. This is located near Chandni Chowk and just opposite Aliah Restaurant. The ambience is brilliant, and is done in Calcutta style, resembling pictures from Old Calcutta.<br/ <br/ I had :<br/ <br/ • Peri Peri Prawns<br/ • Cheese Chilli Chicken Tikka<br/ • Bengali Fish Curry<br/ • Dahi Machhi<br/ • Prawn Malai Curry<br/ <br/ The food tasted amazing, specially the seafood dishes. The starters were delicious. The mains were great and went well with veg pulao and garlic naan.<br/ <br/ For desserts, I went with Shahi Tukra and Gulab Jamun. They were good too.<br/ <br/ Overall, it was a good experience.
Yellow Chilli restaurant is a chain of fine dine restaurant owned by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Located at a distance of 5 mins walk from Chandni Chowk metro station, this place can provide you a superior dine in experience. The walls of the restaurant portraits Kolkata in every from. Starting from the busy roads of esplanade to the calming beauty of Howrah bridge, you can see all of Kolkata in their walls. The comfortable seating and huge dining area adds in to the exquisite ambiance.<br/ <br/ Things I had here includes : <br/ <br/ MOCKTAILS : <br/ • Peru pyala<br/ • Fatal attraction<br/ • Mango Ginger Fizz<br/ • Twisted<br/ • Tarbooza<br/ <br/ Each and every mocktails were great. Although I found the mango ginger fizz to be a bit bland, the other mocktails compensated for it. The best thing about all the mocktails are their unique presentation. I specifically like the twisted mocktail. It had a refreshing melange of orange, lemon, apple and cranberry. Further, it was topped with green apples.<br/ <br/ STARTERS : <br/ • Prawn peri peri<br/ • Chilli cheese Chicken tikka<br/ <br/ There was nothing wrong between the two starters. In fact, I relished both of them equally. The pieces of prawns were huge in prawn peri peri. The peri peri flavour was very prominent in the dish. The chilli cheese tikka had layers of molten cheese over it. Both the starters are highly recommended.<br/ <br/ MAINS : <br/ • Prawn malai curry<br/ • Dahi machhi<br/ • Bengali fish curry<br/ • Peas pulao<br/ • Garlic naan<br/ <br/ Our array of main course looked colourful and delicious as soon as it was served in the table. I started with the Bengali fish curry and peas pulao. True to it's name, the Bengali fish curry had the aroma and flavours of my mom's cooked macher jhol. The pea pulao was served hot and tasted fine with the curry. The dahi machhi was a bit light with the spices. It had a balanced taste of dahi cooked with mild spices and the pieces of fish was huge enough. The prawn malai curry is one of the best dish I had here. It had the prominent flavour of coconut milk which you expect from a good malai curry. The garlic naan went well with the dahi machhi.<br/ <br/ DESSERTS : <br/ • Sahi tukda<br/ • Gulabe gulkand<br/ <br/ I will go back here again for the sahi tukda. It had rabri stuffed in between layers of bread. The gulabe gulkand had a higher sweetness. It will be loved by the people those whose prefer there dessert very sweet.<br/ <br/ All in all, yellow chilli provided me a great experience with it's lively and classic ambiance and uniquely curated food. Looking forward to visit again soon.
A perfect place to dine in with family and friends. Located near the Chandni Chowk Metro Station, this place is a hidden gem. I recently visited this place with my family. The ambience here is very classy and the quality of the food is top notch. We stared with Cheese Chilli Chicken Tikka and Akhroti Murgh Seekh. Both of these starters tasted awesome. In the main course we ordered Peas Pulao, Mutton Nalli Raganjosh, Tariwala Murgh and Shaam Saveera. SHAAM SAVEERA is their specialty dish. It is basically a kofta curry where the outer coating is of Spinach and in the inside there was cottage cheese. The taste of all the dishes were top notch and each and every item is recommended. We ended our meal with Sahi Tukda and Gulab ka Gulkand. I am a person who always choose GulabJamun over anything but the Sahi Tukda here changed my mind. This is the best Sahi Tukda I ever had and is highly recommend.
