Darjeeling Lounge - Kolkata (Calcutta)

This gives an royal ambience, the sofa is so comfy and the food taste like wow , I've always been fond of visiting the ITC Darjeeling lounge and finally the taste and the ambience they provide it's feels like Everytime I visit there

The ambiance of this place is really majestic. It gives you royal experience. The portion size was also quite satisfying. The taste and menu was so different like risotto with bhetki and it was really going well together.

So, starting from the first I have planned to celebrate my special one's birthday at the Royal. But, unfortunately due to some miscommunication we had to drop the plan. Ms.Purvi took the pleasure of calling us and explained the miscommunication happened<br/ with us and we were soo delighted that we opted to go for it.<br/ The hostess Ritika was courtageous enough to guide us to our table and even spent a quantity time with us while we were having our meal.<br/ With a special note the food was just fabulous and never tasted such delicious delicacies ever before. Pitched with Kanzama kebab(one of the best part of the meal), to the soup and then the mouth watering Chopsuey. By the time we could move towards our last main course that is Pasta, we were already full so the server helped us to pack it for us.<br/ It was an wonderful experience being their at the Royal Bengal for the first time. Loved the behaviour of the staffs and those lickicious foods of chef, unfortunately couldn't praise him due to certain protocol.<br/ And, not to forget the wonderful surprise at the end provided with a b'day cake to celebrate which was totally unexpected. We really thank the entire team of Darjeeling Lounge for making a great day.<br/ We look forward for this amazing service again to enjoy.

If you are a Mocha lover like me then trust me on my words they have the best one in entire kolkata .

A boarder of the hotel invited us for lunch at the Grand Marker Pavallion.   We were, unfortunately late and it was about 3PM, so the resturant had shut shutters. So we oped for The Darjeeling , situated just next to it. Although called a lounge, we wre surprised by the extensive food and beverages menu here, The portions served were also quite fiiling. Each one of us ordered different items and most of the them tasted superb.The coffee served was uniquely and differently decorated on the top for each of the guests Although a Monday afternoon, all seats were practically occupied which is a testimony to its popularity. Only adivise, service needs to be a bit quicker waiting time is on the longer side !Fially, the hotel itself it is an epitome of architectural grandure and magnificance. Pretty sure, there are not many properties in Asia comparable to this one.
