Maiyas Restaurant - Kolār

We have visited this many times and is usually our breakfast halt on this highway. It is more expensive than the city restaurants run by the same management. It is located in a food court come shopping arena. The place is clean and for a big group you can pull chairs and tables together.

A big notice has been put up near the cash desk - "Due to GST, 18% extra". So I enquired the cashier as to why is this extra?! Wasn't the tax not included in the earlier price. They laughed shamelessly and admitted that the old price(including tax) has been made new net price and GST has been added on top of it. Basically, what they did is increase their profit(by increasing the net price) and blame government / GST for the new gross price.

This is a really really good place to have breakfast near Kolar. We were on the way to Tirupati and stopped here for a quick snack. It was a truly unforgettable experience with traditional tasy south indian breakfast items.The restaurant is in a mall, which will not be out of place in any metro city! The cleanliness and standards are very high. Go ahead and break your fast here without any hesitation while heading towards Tirupati or elsewhere on this road!

When you are travelling to Tirupati from Bengaluru, you get Maiyas on left side. This is a veg restaurant with huge parking space. We had dosa, idly, vada, khara bath and coffee. Food was tasty.Wash rooms are very clean. Children play area is coming up. This is an ideal place for breakfast when you are visiting Tirupati.

Situated in food joint cum commercial complex "Highway Star". Must say it's a nice place in this part of the city. Serving typical maiyas food. loved it
