Olive Ash - Kohler, Village of

Nice cocktail and cigar bar. Warm woody environment. Friendly bar tender/owner's mother. But for real, what's with the maraschino cherries? You can't have a high end Manhattan with a kiddie cherry! Invest is some better cherries, please.

Very cool place. One of the nicest cigar bars I've been to. You can bring your own sticks or buy them there. They do need to improve the humidor selection a bit though. My new hangout!!

I really want to love this place, and part of their appeal is that they offer hookah. However, the last three times I have come in to do hookah the woman working has some excuse as to why she can't make it happen. Last time it was that she was too busy... there were 6 people in the bar at the time and my group accounted for half of them. Apparently prepping one hookah was too much work. When asked if there was a better time to come in for hookah, the employee was visibly annoyed and couldn't give me an answer. I have tried two other times and was again given flimsy excuses. Why say you offer hookah if you refuse to deliver?

Located in the Woodlake mall I stopped by after finishing up work nearby. I don't make it up to Kohler that often and figured a nice cigar and some booze would be a great end to the work day. I stopped in around 7:30 on a Thursday evening and was surprised to find out that they stay open until around midnight. I was also surprised when it was more of a bar instead of a cigar/wine lounge. There were two people at the bar huffing down cigarettes and a couple on one of the sofas enjoying some wine and cigars. I waited by the (limited selection of a) humidor for a couple of minutes before being greeted. I asked a few cigar related questions to which the staff didn't know how to respond but ended up purchasing just one to enjoy on site instead of getting a few more to take home due to the lack of knowledge. The beer selection is very limited at this location, overall not the most knowledgeble staff, and would prefer to go to a real cigar lounge instead of here again.

Great place to have a drink and smoke to relax the stresses of the day away. Comfortable seating for just one person or a group of friends. Leather couches and comfortable chairs are all around, as well as a few bar tables and the bar itself. Probably can fit about 16-18 people in the super comfy chairs/sofas, and another 20-25 in the bar chairs. Think there are 4 decent sized high def TVs there. Can catch a game or two, but it's not a sports bar. Nice size place with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was excellent and attentive. Always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Selection of cigars was on the smaller side, but was easily able to find an excellent smoke for a very reasonable price. Their bar is well stocked with a good variety of brews and spirits. It's not a brewery or winery, so don't expect every drink imaginable to be available, but like the cigars, you should be able to very easily find something that you will highly enjoy. I had a Macallans 12 with a Short Story smoke for less than 2/3rds of what it would be in my hometown. Also, I received a generous pour on the Macallans, which I greatly appreciated. It was easily at least double of what I usually receive from most establishments. The only negative is a very, very minor one regarding their cigar service: they only have matchbooks available for lighting up. No wooden matches or lighters. Not a big deal as I had my own, and a very small nit to pick. If you're looking to unwind at a friendly, comfortable, upscale but quite affordable cigar bar, Olive N Ash is a place for you to visit.
