A beautiful place with a craftsman' on a beautiful road. a good place to see people walking by. very friendly staff. fair prices.
We went here on the basis of other trip advisor reviews looking for a beer and dinner it is a very old taverne with a great cozy atmosphere and we enjoyed it. the owner was friendly, but also confused when we asked for the menu .there are plenty of beer, as well as other drinks, but they will not get a meal here. they do not serve to eat. So, great for a relaxing beer, then they go somewhere else to eat.
The renter here tells me that this can be one of the oldest pubs in the Rhine Valley. either that or I had told the oldest witz n the Rhine Valley a mixture of poor German and one too many dark. this is a beautiful old beer house from the late century. it has beautiful dark wood panels and serves the usual suspicious of beer in this area (colsch, pils and whiteberry inc. dark). other drinks are certainly available to me, but I don't have partake or even look. on a Saturday they are looking for a place to hide from the shopping for an hour and to experience a typical German place, they cannot be better. I was the only non-force in there, but good enough copied and the people were friendly. I feel that some of the Germans were also tourist. I have this feeling about conigswinter in general. I have not seen that food is served, so no comments n this front. but if they visit conigswinter and don't make time for a beer here, I feel that they may have missed.
This is a cozy little pub hidden in the city konigswinter. After I had drachenfels up and down it was time for me to look for a place for a beer, and since I had no huge time, I wanted to look for the best looking place – and that was it. in the grunde it is an old German pub with a small beer garden on the side, although from some ground outside sitting on the street also has its merits (in contrast to Australians, where street seat is quite boring). I would also call it an old man pub, because they go in here and all the old men of the city seem to be crowded around the bar. also it should not be that the things here are made much slower, so not besides their beer, to the time they order it (and they also let it be set). it is a beautiful little place, and certainly a beautiful place to catch a beer after a long walk.
