Sumo Media Park - Japanese Bar & Restaurant

For all you can eat you can get good and fine Sushi. The mix of fish and rice is good. By our visit they have not all kind of sushi, but the service was good and my tip is the greentea ice cream.

L'endroit est très petit mais les sushis sont, dans l'ensemble, très bons. Midi "all you can eat" à 12.90 euros sans boisson.... très raisonnable. Les autres restaurants sushi dans les environs sont aux mêmes prix. Dommage qu'ils les aspergent d'une sauce piquantes qui détruit le goût :(

REALLY! I am a very well travelled woman and have eaten sushi across the globe. This was probably one of my most disappointing trips to a restaurant in a long while! I am always wary of 'eat as much as you like' because the restaurant will never want to serve up the prize ingredients, but my son adores sushi and so we decided to give it a go.Firstly, I have never known a conveyor belt so full of rolls/triangles/battered and fried versions of TINNED TUNA. This could be Aldi tinned tuna for all we know but raw sashimi this WAS NOT! The salmon was very oily, very fatty and clearly the cheapest fish the restaurant could get hold of. I agree with another review- usually 'eat as much as you can' brings out the glutton in folk but plate after plate passed by without us taking as much as a mouthful, likewise to my left, right and opposite. There was little choice unless you wanted crab stick, tinned tuna or horrible slithers of greasy salmon. Then to top it all after ordering x2 meals at 23,95 each x2 waters at 2,80 each (by Cologne standards this is now turning into an expensive meal!) my very thirsty 13 year old asked if he might have a glass of tap water and the reply was 'that is 1,50'. I have to say, revolting food apart, THIS was the biggest disappointment of my evening and a first for me in Germany. I have lived and worked all over Germany for 20 years and have NEVER EVER paid for a glass of LEITUNGSWASSER, NEVER. I must say I felt totally fleeced by the entire experience and would never return and never recommend.

Ich habe das Lokal schon mehrmals besucht und bin weiterhin begeistert. Das Sushi ist sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Atmosphäre in dem eher kleinen likal ist gemütlich. Ich komm gerne wieder.

Mir wurde Sumo am Cinedom mal empfohlen und ich war begeistert! Die Qualität der Speisen ist immer noch gut aber der Umgang mit Gästen ist eine Katastrophe geworden. Schon letztes Mal wurde uns einfach die Rechnung unter die Nase gehalten mit Worten " sie müssen jetzt bitte bezahlen, die Plätze sind für andere Gäste reserviert und die Gäste sind schon da" Heute haben wir für 4 Personen reserviert und am Telefon habe ich gefragt ob wir nicht vorne sitzen könnten weil 2 von uns kein all in essen möchten. Der Mann am Telefon sagte wörtlich " nein, das geht nicht. Alle müssen all in nehmen. Ich muss dann stornieren!" Und hat aufgelegt!!! Nachdem ich ihn wieder angerufen habe um zu sagen, dass er die Reservierung nicht stornieren soll sondern auf zwei reduzieren soll ... hat er mich noch nicht mal aussprechen lassen und meinte " sagen sie jetzt, ich habe noch andere Gäste am Telefon und habe keine Zeit" Ich finde es extrem schade, weil ich wirklich super gerne Sushi bei Sumo gegessen habe, aber so leider nicht ...
