Namdaemun - Köln

Went here during our trip to Seoul. Many shops and vendors. Very crowded at times. Most vendors don't bargain on prices. Prices seemed high for some items. Some vendors were pushy. It wasn't as good as what I was expecting.

Warm welcome and excellent service.Its not such a fancy resto but I somehow like the Ambient. Spacey place to enjoy your Dishes. Date for two? Ok? Or take your entire family? Very welcomed! We all know that Germany isnt a children friendly country, but you cant evidence any single sign of it at Namdaemun. They provide a big enough room for kids to spend their spare-time...They serve this kind of 3 Course Menu. You got Sushi, 4 types of great quality of Meat (Bulgogi will be served as on the 4th Plate) and a simple Fruit arrangement. So one in all, all in one? TASTY!Price-wise? I wont dare to ask for more... :)Ps. Their Sushi for appetizer was tasty as well!

This is were to go in you want real Korean BBQ. We have lived 4 years in Seoul and have tried out all Korean restaurants around Cologne and Bonn and this is the one to go to. The owner is very kind and the food excellent.It is easy to book a table online.

I am from Brazil, visited koln for 2 days.I love this restaurant, I already knew some korean restaurant in Brazil but Namdaemun restaurant is very special. You can eat rice, bean soup and salad as much as you want... and you pay only for meat with ordinary price....I think vegetable food is important when I eat meat for nutritional balance, and it is wonderful thing that I can eat salad as much as I want.....The quality of food was quite good!!!!! I think they use all food with fresh state....I am very sensitive about quality of food..I can perceive whether the food is fresh or not....they offer quite fresh food...fresh salad and fresh meat...in my point of view, fresh food is very important because it is directly related to health.In Korean food, I specially like bulgogi ....I usually decide the level of restaurant with this food. Namdaemun has excellent bulgogi taste.....very korean style meat. Good quality of meat. And Korean fermented marinated lettuce( I forgot this name in Korean at this moment ) was very good!!!!!! this salad makes good harmony with bulgogi!!!!!And other thing is friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere..I feel like I am in my homeplace....and having dinner with my family....it is a warm feeling. Although the location is not at the center of the city,( it means it was not near my accomodation.) but I felt that it was quite worth having a dinner at this restaurant. someday, if I visit koln again I am sure I will visit this restaurant again....I do not have children , so I visited with my friends...but I saw there was children's room....that is quite different from Brazilian restaurant....I am impressed with it. actuallty they care clients...

I'm korean, studying in Germany. During our stay in cologne, this is the worst restaurant ever!. Their Price is insanely overpriced!. I ordered the menu no.1, which consist of each 4 slices of pork, chicken breast, beef and the last is Korean Style beef bulgogi. Approximately, you'll get around total 150 grams of meat for €19,90!. My girlfriend ordered the vegetarian course which consist of around 100 grams of fish and slices of onion, tomato, tofu, zuchini for €17,9!. The buffet consist only of 8 vegetables korean dishes with average taste. Better to try Bulgogi Haus..Its definitely worth the price!. The Problem in this restaurant is their overpriced food in small quantity!.Well.....If you guys want waste money, please try this restaurant. The owner will welcome you warmly and smile constanly, because in the end they'll get a huge amount of profit!. So customer, beware!
