Karibik - Köln

Trotz mehrerer eher negativer Bewertungen haben wir uns entschlossen in der "Karibik" zu Abend zu essen. Wir waren positiv überrascht, eine gute Auswahl verschiedener Gerichte und guter Cocktails für einen fairen Preis. Entschieden haben wir uns für Frühlingsrollen, Reis mit Gemüse u Ente, Hawaiianisches Steak überbacken mit Ananas und Banane. Recht ungewöhnlich, aber super lecker. Auch einen Cocktail haben wir probiert, alles top. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Staff were friendly, the food was nice Thai/asian food - nothing too special or different but good standard that wont disappoint. Location was great and value good too.

I visited the place with my friend who is an expert in Thai food, and he said that the dishes he ordered were very like Thai. I had never been in Thai restaurant before and I really loved the food! My friend explained that dishes marked in menu as "spicy" are spicy for Germans but not really as spicy as Thai eat. He asked if I wish to try it Thai-spicy and we ordered fried prawns like that. It was very hot and absolutely delicious! Two days later I came there again, and I wish I would able to get there when I am in Cologne next time!

A nice simple Thai on the promenade next the Rhine. Tasty food and good value especially the lunch menu. Lots of chilli to hand! Super clean toilets. Staff efficient if lacking character

Wir waren nach einem Konzert in der Lanxess Arena noch auf ein paar Cocktails am Rheinufer. Tolle Lage, schneller und freundlicher Service und die Cocktails waren sehr gut. Preise für alkoholfreie Varianten mit 3,80 bis 4,50 EUR absolut fair. Nächstes Mal probieren wir auch gerne die Küche.
