Backwerk - Köln

I was hungry after a day of touring around town and the pastry goods hits the spot for me, I like the price was reasonable and it’s self serve so I can see up close what I wanted.

What a nice surprise! They had hot tea with a few flavours to pick from. They kept replacing good items and everything was very fresh. Staff friendly even though we didn't speak each other's language. A must if you are hungry! Great prices.

This is what take away food should be like. Freshly made array of filled rolls and pastries loads of drink choices fast convenient, affordable and healthy. Why cant we have these in England???

A bit like Gregs in England. Great place to grab a sandwich/pastry or cake and a drink. You can eat in (self service) or take away. Good choice of snacks available and even offer vegetarian options. Free WIFI. We stopped for a quick snack on...our way through Cologne.

Great bakery with the best prices for baked food on the station from bread to pretils and cakes , a few options for coffee downstairs but this is the standard machine used for coffee so as good as anywhere . Seated area in side ,...self service but really good takeout option if your travelling on by train or need a picnic .
