Diner`s - Koeln-Ehrenfeld

My uncle is years old and went there a few weeks ago and had a bill of about euros. When paying by card the waitress asked his code once, he put the code then the waitress asked for his code again, he did...it. He realized only later that the first code put was actually the tip! He therefore left a tip of about euros and something (the code of his card). I went there after to explain the situation WITH THE VOUCHER and they said it was his mistake and not their fault. I e-mailed the manager and explained but he also said it was not their fault. As said, my uncle is years old and the waitress saw that he gave a tip of euros (for a bill of but didn't say anything. I can't believe those places still exist today. They are dishonnest people.

The food was ok. Me and my friends were treated horribly by the waiter, I would not recommend this place, there are a lot of nicer cafes with better service and food. I would not even send my worse enemy to eat there. If I...had the option to give it 0 star, I would.

Get out of my place and never come back how the host said good bye to us. Not even star. That was the most awful and embarrassing lunch in my life. We ordered three different dishes and everyone got some terrible experience in...different ways sand in salat, rotten asparagus and as the least worst no side salat at the main dish (thought was in menu). At the counter we mentioned it, also brought the uneatable parts of our dishes. In first place to prevent the same bad luck for future guests, and as super unexpecteble respons we were completely cursed by the waiter, like really in the bad way and asked to leave the place. This people ruind our very first day in Köln, because after all we were deep shocked by such drastically bad behavior of the strange person. They just shouldn't work in the food service at all. (Just as last pice of whole picture and I know, it could sound like a made up thing, but we also saw the bartender picking up the salad from the serving basin with his bare hand.. Also finger weg!

We were looking for a place to have lunch on a sunny day and it was hard to find something in the area. We ended up here and from the outside it looked ok. One can only order the food that’s depicted on the wall...behind the bar counter. After ordering it is cooked by chef visible to the customers. Oh my god! Washing hands, no! Eating from dishes and salads with hands, yes! My salmon supposed to be grilled, but it was baked at the plate as the pommes and other meat. Using the same butter. Unbelievable!!! The salads were unfresh and made yesterday! My daughter had ordered a schnitzel she nor we as parents could cut, because it was baked for the second time it felt and was black from the inside. And so on, and so on! Cheap, but I wouldn’t even dare to go in anymore as I have never had an experience that was as worse as this one. Gordon Ramsey cannot even turn this one around

One word horrible!!! Everything on their menu was in German, the servers did not want to spend a second telling us anything about the menu or helping us figure what anything means. We stood at the bar trying to figure out what we should...get, obv since no one wanted to talk to us, and were told very rudely to go back to our table and wait for the server. We tried asking her but she was arrogant and rude and gave us no response. Mind you when it came to pay the bill she knew all the English and was suddenly extremely sweet and attentive. If you're looking for a terrible experience because you don't know German, this is the place to go. Not that it's a big deal, but every other table got bread but us
