Nice service, delicious food, great drinks choice and beautiful ambience... what more you want!

It was a lush autumn evening that I spent with nice Golocal friends on the terrace of the Jameson Pub. The location is “just quite beautiful”, despite the beautiful interior: somewhat disturbed. Thanks to our very great and stimulating conversations tonight we didn't notice it immediately... but after approx. 1 hour waiting time we asked ourselves the question: Where were the operators? So one of our rounds went to the exploration tour to motivate a service, but as soon as the waiting guests came to serve it. Despite all efforts, we had to say and write 75 minutes to order the first drink round. During this very unusually long waiting period (a transferred rugby game in the pub obviously had top priority I observed that other guests did not tolerate and eventually leave the location without eating anything. In the evening it appears subconscious and often barely to call an unpleasant feeling. That I was in nice company, because the atmosphere is stressful and hospitable. The service personnel were usually unfriendly and badly laughed, a laugh was not to try the service personnel at any time... But this is so custom in these pubs?! For gastronomy it is important to find an efficient means here if guests are to actually return. That is why I forgive this place in the first run only 3 benevolent stars. But it was decided tonight: we're coming back.

The Jameson has opened from 12:00 and is therefore the traditional starting point of the Irish Path Tour. (see also: The Irish Harp, Buskers In case of a pleasant failure: the warm kitchen closes at 23:00 and at 3:00 a.m. you are kindly asked to drink the last pint fast or at the door. It is worth the solid selection of dishes (snacks, burgers, Irish stews, ... wow! as a basis for further activities. To exchange a small piece, the Jameson Pub met with 2 other loving Golocalers. There was room outside under radiators. Since it was shown on TV Rugby for the early evening, it probably took a little longer until a service came to get the drinks. You must have been Rugby fans yourself. For a star trigger. After ordering to eat a little later, 9 Chicken Nuggets were ordered, but then they came to the table quite quickly and on the taste nothing could be brought out, only not at the price: 9 he served 6,75 €. The way to the toilet had to be fought by crowds until a staircase arrived down there. These were clean, well, it was also quite early in the evening! Conclusion: Actually, a nice location, especially the indoor area still of me only 3 good, especially since the chairs in the outdoor area were not necessarily very comfortable!

The Jameson is a very large Irish pub in the heart of Cologne with many seats, a separate smoking part and regular karaoke evenings. The mood is unbroken, despite the relatively high prices. However, the good quality of the food makes up much again.
