Bidrage med feedbackArima is famous for its onsen, it is sensual (cracker-like disks), and for its octopus kitchens. If you like Takoyaki (October balls), you should try the Akashiyaki in this restaurant. Akashiyaki is takoyaki served with dashi soup that you immerse the takoyaki before eating. The Takoyaki is super delicate, so it can be a little difficult to eat if you are not good at using sticks. I especially liked the deep fried octopus we ordered on the page. It had really good taste and texture. It is popular so you may have to wait a while to eat here, but it is worth waiting.
I'm honest. The main reason I came to Arima Onsen was to eat this akayashiyaki dish again. The first time I ate it was good. It is complex and blends well with local alcohol. Second time. Surprising! 1 year later... today when I write this review. I tried so many akayashiyaki places in Osaka. Even a video of an old master. Nothing outside compares with this store. A young couple runs the joint. Yes, they also accept credit cards. The fried tofu in the picture. It's silk tofu. Not the rubbers... It is the melt in the mouth of Tofu... It's so good and complex that it's crazy. The reason for the third attempt? Last two times I came here, I was hungry... maybe it made delicious. But no... this place is artificial. I have to ask if the michelion judges are here... Because the other two star restaurants I visited.
Delicious fishing. Beautiful view of the road from the corner seat.
A place with great atmosphere and character where good food is cooked in the center of the room. Tempura octopus, tempura tofu, gyozas and much more a wide range of foods.
Akashiyaki and Arimayaki (with Sansho) ball shaped hot egg custard with diced octopus in it, served with dipping dashi (soup full of umami flavor). Very unique and delicious. Highly recommended!! Restaurant is very small with tall uncomfortable chairs. Services were fast and efficient. Often crowded... thus be patient.
