Bidrage med feedbackIf you're in search of an excellent cup of coffee and scrumptious baked treats, make your way to Lil's Cafe in Kittery! I recently hosted a brunch for 150 guests after my niece's wedding, and Lil's provided us with the most incredible muffins, a variety of pastries, bagels, yogurt, and granola. Everyone at the brunch was raving about the food. If you're looking to cater an event, Deb, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. She is attentive, patient, and committed to making your event flawless. The team of bakers at Lil's is truly exceptional! I'm so glad I discovered Lil's in Kittery—don't miss the ham and cheese croissant!
I've only been in the area for a month, but Lil's has quickly become a staple in my weekend routine. I go for a bike ride and then indulge in treats at Lil's! Their coffee is great, and I really appreciate that both the baked goods and the food are delicious, allowing me to enjoy something healthy (and tasty) alongside a treat! The Green Goddess sandwich was an unexpected favorite, and the Cruffins are absolutely amazing.
As I approached the counter to place my lengthy order, I was asked to move over to the next register. The person taking my order ended up also being the one preparing it, while another young woman entered my information into the system. I thought I was communicating my order to the person who was filling it, but the cashier condescendingly interrupted me, saying, "Hon, hon, look at me. I'm taking your order; she can read it over my shoulder." First of all, I am not "Hon." I am a very aware 75-year-old woman trying my best to navigate a loud and somewhat chaotic environment while placing a substantial $75 order, particularly challenging since I couldn't physically see the items to choose from. I was frustrated when, after they read back my order, several items were missing. Later, we discovered one item that was read back to us was not even in the box. Despite all this, I still decided to tip the staff, as I come from a family in the industry and don't believe in penalizing everyone for one person's shortcomings. Your products are excellent and indeed worth waiting in line for. We've supported your business since you opened, even though we live in the Hudson Valley of NY, and we've referred many people to you. However, I must admit that the staff's lack of professionalism left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will think twice before going out of my way to stop by again.
Cute and tasty coffee shop snugly tucked on the main drag. You come here for the baked goods and coffee, seems much anything else leads to a mixed bag of results. The infamous crueler was almost inexcusably sweet and went down well with a shot of theirexpresso (be warned their shots are doubles already . They had gluten free and allergen friendly baked goods and ready to go.I had one of their breakfast wraps (egg, black bean spread, and hot greens? and was sad to see that it didn?t hold up well inthe heated drawer and sadly threw it away. They also hosted a cute used vinyl vault inside the store just to the backleft. Highly advise for a cute spot to check in, grab a snack, and sit for a coffee. Bonus points: check out a smoothie fromthe repurposed atm booth just ten steps away to compliment their offerings. One star removed for the subpar breakfast wrapexperience
I admit I have a slight bias since my son works here, but this coffee shop and pastry bakery located on the Kittery waterfront might just be one of the most charming spots in the area. It's beloved by locals as well as visitors from afar, making it a destination that's definitely worth a visit.
