The Civil - Kitchener

Severely understaffed. We waited at the door for quite a while before we were addressed by a staff member (there were only two) and then given a table right beside the front door. It was very cold in the restaurant and everytime the door opened it let a gust of cold air hit us. It took a very long time for our drinks and even longer for our pizzas and then 3 were brought to us and was informed the other one was made incorrectly and was being remade. So one person in our party waited another 15-20min to receive their food while the others were done eating. Not an ideal situation and the pizza was just ok, definitely not traditional Italian wood oven pizza.

Our favorite spot for pizza! The pizza is fantastic, the cocktails are delicious and beautifully made, and the atmosphere is lovely!

Pizzas were excellent, definitely get the dipping sauces too! We went on a Monday night, it was quiet, our food came quickly but it’s not a large space so I would definitely make a reservation just in case. We’ll be back!!

The Civil is the best place to eat in DTK. Delicious pizza, plenty of parking and great staff.

Pizza was great. Flights of cocktails s unique and delicious.
