Boston Pizza - Kitchener

I visited this restaurant to watch Game 6 of the Raptors. For Americans, it's like an Applebee's, but with much better food. There are plenty of screens, so I had no trouble watching the game.

This establishment is extremely unpleasant...worse than cafeteria food. It seems to be only this particular location, as usually BP is good. Stick to ordering their pizza and avoid anything else.

The jambalaya is delicious, I enjoy sitting in the bar area and ordering one of their huge draft beers to go with it.

We eat at this Boston pizza a couple times a month. And everytime we go in we try and sit in Shaelyn's section she is one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Always makes sure we have full drinks and our food is good.

In my experience eating at many different Boston Pizza locations on different occasions, the chain does know how to make a good pizza (they should given the word is in their name!). Their pasta dishes are also pretty decent. However, the service we received on a recent visit was not quite of the same quality. It was just a few small things that let it down, really, such as our server seeming to never be around (the place was not overly busy). The other thing was being served coffee in a coffee-stained mug. These stains were on the outside and were "baked" in (by the dishwasher, presumably). They weren't just slop from the coffee being served. When we requested a new mug the server did as requested but was a little dismissive in tone. And wouldn't you know, the replacement mug also had stains. At that point we just shrugged. Regardless of how the stains came to be there, those mugs should never have been served to customers, especially not twice in a row. As I said these are small things but customers do notice them. Some care enough to write about them.
