Bidrage med feedbackMy daughter recommended Beer Town for our Easter family lunch because of their wide variety of gluten-free options. I had never been to Beer Town before, and after reading some negative reviews, I was unsure if we should change our plans. However, I am glad we didn't. I made a reservation and they confirmed our booking twice. The service was outstanding and the wait staff were very attentive. Despite there being 14 of us, our meals all came out together in a timely manner. The portions were generous and everyone in our group really enjoyed their food. They also had a great kids menu at a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning to Beer Town in the future.
The outdoor seating area is appealing, but not very practical as the umbrellas do not provide adequate shade at all times. We struggled to adjust them, so we ultimately decided to move inside. Our waiter was very accommodating and understanding as we made the switch. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean, and has a great atmosphere for groups. The food was a mixed bag - the tuna bowl and fried chicken were delicious, but the standard burger and fish tacos were mediocre. They do offer options for gluten-free and vegan diets, as well as a kids' menu. Overall, this place is great for the ambiance and beer selection, earning it a rating of 3.5 stars.
My husband and I dined at the restaurant last night. While he enjoyed his burger, I was disappointed with my fish tacos. The size of the fish in each taco was smaller than expected, so I had to double up on the fish in each one. Our server, TAB, was great and offered to bring more fish, but I declined as I felt the portion size was inadequate. Normally, we have a great experience at Charcoal Group restaurants with delicious food and generous portions, so this was a letdown. If the portion sizes cannot match up to other restaurants like The Whale and Ale, it may be best not to offer the dish at all. I was not satisfied paying over $19.00 for a taco with minimal fish.
Great atmosphere and service. My wife had fish tacos and has been throwing up all night. I had a lamb burger that I could not taste due to the overpowering number and strength of all the toppings. Not worth the price.
We went to Beertown on Sunday for lunch. It’s was not very busy, maybe 1/4 full. After being seated, we waited for more 15 minutes and NO ONE came to our table. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the table behind us was seated 10 minutes in and their server came to their table to take drink order. We left. On the way out, we mentioned why we were leaving. The hostess said, “okay.” Incredible. We were regular customers but no longer. This was just the culmination of declining service at the restaurant.
