Fortune Cookie - Kirklees

This is my second time ordering take away from this place. The first time it arrived cold, bland and I called to speak to someone about this and the woman that answered had absolutely no customer service skills at all. As this is my only Chinese take away locally I stupidly ordered again tonight hoping my previous order was just a bad one off. This time it arrived within 20 minutes of ordering considering the take away is 10 minutes away this massively indicates the food is definitely not freshly made) partly cold. I ate a little and realised again it was so bland, however this time we got a long red ginger hair in the food I’m brunette my partner bald so absolutely no chance it was ours), at first I thought it could be off the veg as sometimes they leave little bits of hair like strands but after moving it, it had a hair root to it. tried to call the restaurant and nothing. I’ve had to pass this over to just eat to try get a refund as the whole take away will now to be disposed of due to lack of hygiene. Don’t waste your money, honestly the worst take away I’ve ever had and both times spent a fortune and had to throw it. This time I will be trying to get a refund as the hair is unacceptable. Last time I just left it without a refund and ordered from Somewhere else.

Wow where to begin? This is by far the worst take away I have ever had the misfortune of having. The food was ordered via Just Eat and arrived late, and with items missing. We had to make a call to get them to re deliver what hadn’t arrived with the original order, but no apology was offered by Fortune Cookie. I really wish we hadn’t bothered getting them to come back as the food was so awful most of it went in the bin. There were really no redeeming features of the meal. The food wasn’t particularly hot (possibly from being so late , the different meats in the meals were dry as if they’d been cooked and re heated — in fact, the spare ribs of the pathetic (meagre!! starter selection were so tough they were inedible! The Singapore noodles tasted like microwaveable ones from your average supermarket. My stepdaughter has some chow mein that were very watery, although she described the consistency as “noodles covered in saliva“ rather than water, that’s how unpleasant she found them. I guess the one saving grace was that we weren’t unwell after the meal, but that might just be due our sturdy constitutions! Avoid avoid avoid!

Food terrible, salt and pepper chicken, chicken nuggets, terrible, sirlion steak and chips, never seen sirloin, debatable if even beef. Used to be great before it changed owners. £22.00 for two, eating cheese on toast while writing this, stay away.

Rubbish service, do not use. Ordered on the just eat app and was told it would 75 minutes and after it was 30 minutes late we rang them to be told it was on its way. The order was then updated to say it would be another 45 minutes, so was lied to about the delivery as we live 10 minutes drive away. Order was cancelled but turned up 2 and half hours after being ordered, told them we did not want it.

We ordered a delivery via Just Eat, told us it would be 1 hour, 25 minutes later it turned up, and as soon as we unpacked it we realised it wasn’t what we had ordered and after tasting it it all ended in the bin, I phoned up to complain and the very rude girl said to complain with just eat ?????? wasn’t interested in being responsible or helping
