Federal Tavern - Kirkland Lake

I'm from out of town, I had family from Kirkland Lake and wanted to visit where my Grandfather worked hard in the gold mines and where my Mom spent her first few years, and I have to say this is an awesome town, with honest hard working people. And this brings me to the Fed, we ate here about three times over the summer and love the patio, love the inside too. The food is fantastic, whoever works in the kitchen obviously loves what they do because there is extra detail taken to the quality of the dishes and the staff are also fantastic and the drinks are awesome as well. I can't wait to come back and hang out, the atmosphere is also top notch, it's a great place to hang out, dressed up, dressed down, on a date or with your pals or family for a well deserved night out from all of us who are working too darn hard these days. When the pandemic is over, I'm coming back to party!!!! Kirkland Lake you're a great town!

Stopped in here for beer and wings food was really good and staff there were friendly. Felt like we were in a neighbourhood hang out a bit and didnt really belong. Prices were reasonable.Parking lot is gravel and on a bit of a slant but we were able to park the motorcycle safely.

Tiny kitchen, full-house but they got all our food out correctly and with smiles on their faces. Thanks all you great folks at the Fed!

Some days the food is spot on, some days it’s garbage. Ordered something and it came out looking good on top but it was hard to cut lift up the meat it was burnt to a crisp. Thought they could hide it by putting the “good” side up

The buffalo wrap was delicious as always, and I paired it with a side of Cajun fries. Also delicious and perfectly cooked. Caesar was perfectly made
