Friendly, efficient service; good pub food; decor may be outdated but who cares??!!

Friendly staff. Great food and service. The view from our room was beautiful. Lovely terrace and beer garden looking over to estuary and sailing boats.

I visited this restaurant expecting it to be crowded due to Covid restrictions, but it was surprisingly quiet on a cold, rainy day. The atmosphere was friendly, and the menu offered a good selection. I had the beef in red wine, along with chips and vegetables, which was a bit too much for my small appetite. Charlie opted for the chili and rice, which was very generous and had an excellent flavor. We enjoyed our meals with a glass of red wine and a pint of Belhaven Best, respectively.

The atmosphere was very welcoming, although it was quite quiet due to current circumstances. I had the fish and chips, and honestly, the fish was excellent—very fresh. I already know what I'll be ordering when I come back next time!
