Namu - Kingston upon Thames

The Chilli Chicken at this restaurant used to be good, but the last two times it was really disappointing. The chicken was soggy with a mushy batter falling off, and the rice was overcooked and mushy. I won't be returning again.

I had the mixed seafood spicy noodle dish that warmed both my heart and stomach. I requested it extra hot and it was just perfect, especially on this rainy day. Thank you. The restaurant also has an open-air canopy for shelter.

We’ve had lunch from Namu before( before the pandemic) and we enjoyed their menu back then. This time it was very disappointing!! We ordered Prawn tempura udons and dumplings. The soup was very bland, no taste at all. It contained just a few bits of overcooked fish cakes and one prawn tempura! There were no fresh ingredients like spring onions or seaweed. The dumplings looked as if they had been kept warm for sometime, very oily and no crunchiness at all. For what we got this was overpriced. Also, they used to have tables but this time there was nowhere to sit. All in all we won’t go back there to buy another lunch. By the way I am Korean.

The Japanese/Asian Chili Chicken Donburi is incredibly delicious and flavorful. I usually opt for the Chicken Ramen or Seafood Ramen, both of which are soup noodle dishes that are always freshly made and piping hot. The Japanese food here is top-notch, but keep in mind that they only accept cash since this is a market stall. The portion sizes are quite generous as well.

Sweet Chili Chicken is a must have with Veg noodles. Freshly prepared and delicious. Both of those will set you back 10 GBP. But the portions are good enough for 2 pax for lunch!
