Awesome spot..either for a quick beer or a meal with the family. Good service and good pub food.

Paused in the middle of a busy Sunday to get lunch. Wings and beer as usual. Excellent wings and a wide range of beer selections makes this the place to stop when I'm in this part of town. Never had a bad meal here.

We loved this pub. It suited us. It was down to earth, not styled up to cater to the tourist crowd. Service was spot on. I had the shephard's pie and the meat was seasoned perfectly. My fussy husband had the bangers and mash and he loved it. Potatoes and beans were piping hot and the sausage had that wonderfully crisp outside that you usually only get at home. We have had Guinness at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and the pour on the Guinness here was the best we've had in Canada. Not gassy with a perfect head. If only we lived closer.

Loyal Oarsman has great food but I cannot support an establishment that over-serves the pub "regulars" and then lets them drive home intoxicated. Every restaurant and employee at that establishment should know their liabilities. If you know someone regularly drives home from the pub, please take their keys or call them a cab.Very disappointed to see the Oarsman support this.

We have been there several times by our selves and with a group of 10-12 people. The service is always excellent and the servers are great. The prices are reasonable and the food is great (pub food not gourmet). This is a busy restaurant because of this but you do not have poor service because of that.
