Limestone Kabob House - Kingston

This is great place for Lunch & Dinner to Stop in 401. Whenever i go to Kingston or pass by kingston i stop here for food. This is a good place for couple, kids, and family. The have delicious kababs and specialized in middle eastern cuisine.

On a road trip from Chicago to Montreal and made a pit stop here. An absolutely superb lunch. I love the mix of Afghan, Pakistani, Indian, Moroccan dishes, all done well. Kids loved the tandoori chicken dishes, since they had all the seasonings minus the chili pepper (I suppose you could ask for the hot sauce). The single kebabs are good for just a light meal. We ordered Afghan bread on the side. The harira soup was also good (just needed a pinch of salt, which I added). It's located in an unpromising strip mall, but the food and service were great. My daughter adds: It was awesome!

My husband and I went here for dinner after completing a 65 km bike ride, so we brought a good appetite, and were completely satisfied. There was an extensive menu to choose from. I had the chicken shawarma and he had the beef kofte kabob plate. The garlic potatoes were delicious. We both enjoyed our meals very much and still had some left over for lunch the next day. They do not serve alcohol, but the tea is excellent.

Its now my place to go to for Afghan/Middle Eastern cuisine in Kingston. Taste is amazing, portions are decent and prices are reasonable. Ambience and service are great too. I have no doubt that in a bigger metropolis like Toronto, this restaurant would have been an instant hit but the owners chose to locate in a smaller city. In terms of menu, I recommend Barg kabob (grilled cubes of marinated beef tenderloin). Also try the complimentary tea. The place serves halal meat/chicken. The location is close to Cataraqui Centre mall in Kingston not too far from highway 401 so its worth making a detour.

The decor impressed me immediately upon entering. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, even suitable for a romantic dinner.My mother and I ordered the chicken shawarma, and my wife ordered the chicken kabob. All portions were a good size. We also shared an appetizer of beef samosas.All dishes were served hot and very flavorful, and included tea, salad, and naan bread.Service was excellent and friendly.We will be returning numerous times to try other menu items that look so amazing!
