Eggspress - Kingston

My first and only experience at this establishment was horrible. The food was "okay" but the service and management were utterly disgraceful. To mix up an order is not the end of the world, but when it comes a second time and its still not right, and then to have to remind the server of coffee and toast?! Although the server was apologetic, she herself was bad-mouthing the cooking staff, and she offered to comp the bill by 10%. My opinion of 10% is not enough, especially when I never did receive my order correctly. When I asked to speak to both managers, I was told they would not come to the table. I was not looking for a free meal, but just a correct order and they can't even do that. Do not go to this restaurant unless you want to overpay for sub-quality food with incompetent staff and management.

I ordered 10 stars omelette and a coffee, It was a bottomless coffee as they put the pot of coffee on the table. The omelette had everything in it with homefries toast and friuit. I am now full for the whole day. The waitress was Laura, she was great. I will be back.My total bill was $15.25.

I feel bad giving a 3 star, but i would rate the food a solid 4, but the service was horrible a solid 2.We came for Mother's Day, so granted..a busy day. However, our waitress was always hard to find, and everyone in our section of the restaurant was complaining of the poor service.Other waitresses seem to be doing fine, in fact other tables seated after us being served before us.Once the food came, things were better. I see the other reviews not happy with the food, but I thought the food was excellent. Large servings, prepared well, with excellent presentation.We still tipped very well, and we would repeat.

Sent back my eggs once because they were cold,and would have done it again but I was hungry. When I got the eggs again they were lukewarm and the bacon is so thin I could see my husband through them. No joking. I think everything is precooked because my eggs had the exact same shape from my previous eggs. It didn't look fried as i had ordered, more like oven baked in some sort of form. It's eggs! Not rocket science. Will not go back again.

I was pretty disappointed in this place. With its extensive menu I opted for the King version of the Eggs Benedict and the waitress said " we cook the eggs medium, is that Ok?" To which I replied "No, soft please" - they arrived hard, not medium, but hard.I would have complained to the waitress but we didn't see here again until the cheque came (after a long wait) and by then I just wanted to get out of there.On the plus side, the portions were big and the fresh fruit accompaniment was a nice touch. The personal coffee pot was also a perk, as I know the waitress wouldn't have gotten us a refill.
