Bidrage med feedbackOn the other hand, the Bebek Ubud dish was a bit disappointing, receiving a 3 out of 5 rating. The crispy duck pancakes had too much dough and lacked a generous amount of duck, cucumber, and shallots. The Nasi Uduk dish also received a 4 out of 5 rating. The aromatic coconut rice was a standout, although the egg was on the salty side. The addition of prawn crackers provided a nice texture to this satisfying dish.
What a great find!! Great atmosphere inside, it almost felt like a Balinese day spa as well as a restaurant!! So relaxing, we didn't even want to leave. A great place to go for a nice intimate dinner for 2, or with a group of friends. <br/ <br/ We were surprised it wasn't really busy when we came here on a Friday night however this was during Christmas break so not sure what it's like on regular days... The food was just amazing, each dish we all attacked and we left no scraps. We had the fried eggplant, coconut curry, and my favourite BBQ whole snapper. We definitely will come here again, not just because we live in the area!
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the service provided by the owner and one waitress is excellent. However, I was disappointed with the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, but none of them were impressive. I especially did not like the chicken stir-fried with vegetables as they used frozen veggies like baby corn and broccoli. Despite the disappointing food, the service was great.
In addition to the delicious food, the ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for both group gatherings and romantic dinners. The dimly lit setting with candles and ornate carved doors creates a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of Ubud. The prices are also very reasonable, with dishes like the coconut curry costing only $19, compared to similar dishes at other restaurants for $35. My favorite dishes include Ikan Bakar (grilled fish), Rendang (coconut beef), Chicken Sate, Kangkung (water spinach with spices), es Cendol (a dessert made with crushed ice and Pandan leaf), and black sticky rice with coconut cream.
Truly the best Indonesian restaurant in Sydney. Service is always on point and the value of the food is definitely worth the price. The portions are more than enough and every bite just takes me back to Bali.<br/ <br/ Must try: Beef Rendang, nasi goreng, the eggplant, gado gado, beef satay, chicken satay, and the martabak telor!!
