Rendezvous at Dayboro - King Scrub

I absolutely adore this restaurant! They offer a wide variety of fresh and delicious food in a great atmosphere and convenient location. Whenever we are in Dayboro, we make sure to visit this place. We even make special trips just to bring our friends along. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, providing great old-fashioned hospitality. The food is fresh, visually appealing, and above all, extremely tasty. The atmosphere and decor are on point. This is truly a unique dining experience that I highly recommend to everyone.

Great location, nice selection of books to browse or buy, friendly staff, no waiting for service, but oh, my, what a missed opportunity with the food! The corn fritters were fine (as was the pear and walnut friand desert), but the salad, very basic, and the avacado on gluten free toast, with egg? Well, if you take some Woolies gluten free bread, sort of toast it, then spread it with avocado, as if it were butter, then fry an egg in a pan and slap it on top, voila! Flair- zero, creativity, zero, taste- very mediocre. Presentation of meals is important- but not- it seems, in this case. With a bit of effort, the place could be great- but that would require a shift away from the fairly slapdash and rather disappointing approach we experienced from the Rendezvous kitchen. Could be so much better.

Dropped in for lunch and stayed for coffee and cake. What an awesome little cafe. The staff couldn't be more friendly. Gluten free options in the main meals and even more in the desserts. The service was fast, polite and efficient. The food was great In addition to the cafe there is the gift shop which gives it a lovely atmosphere. If you're in the area and are looking for a cafe then this is the place to stop.

This cafe was recommended by a local and we were very happy, what a gem of a place this is. I had the vegetable lasagne and my partner had the chicken wrap, both were absolutely delicious. Looking forward to returning

I stopped by for a Sunday lunch and was pleased with the excellent service and fresh food. The ambiance was great and it was a relaxing experience. I would definitely come back and recommend this cafe to others.
