Basalt Vineyard Cellar Door

With three others for tasting and coffee. staff very friendly and know their wee expert. coffee great. Manager/Owner shane very good and informatiw, tasting various weeping and also items from the menu we are highly recommended definately again.

After being spoiled by many gorgeous vineyards in South Australia, we decided to try out some others and make comparisons. This particular winery had a limited wine selection, with tastings priced at $10 each, which we found to be slightly overpriced. Unlike other wineries we visited, this $10 fee was not redeemable towards any purchases. The highlight of our tasting experience was the Riesling.

We visited the restaurant on a rainy day and tried the tasting menu, which had a few delicious items. The olives and goat cheese in the baked dish were amazing. The host/hostess was lovely and was kind enough to offer us shelter from the hail and let us browse through their cookbooks. I would love to visit again.

A fantastic spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The atmosphere is casual but top-notch. Don't overlook their delicious desserts. The tasting menu is exceptional. Lunch and wine pairings are spot on.
