Buffet style lineup and everything from quiche, scones and coffee were all yummy nice little spot to get out of the rain and enjoy some good food.

Despite being a cafeteria style restaurant, the staff was helpful, the food was plentiful and well seasoned and quick to the table.

Such a wonderful jewel in the crown. We visited here just after Christmas with family. I have to say we fully enjoyed our experience. A great selection of food and great value. I would recommend their festive sandwich . It was very tasty. The restaurant is spotless and the staff are friendly and attentive and always had a smile on their faces. We will definitely be back again and would recommend for a relaxing lunch or just a light snack.

Home cooked food in a historical setting. The quality of the food is excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff. A busy environment and well maintained. Excellent shopping in the store below.

We have been traveling in Ireland for 10 days and 2 of the days were spent in Kilkenny. After viewing the castle we had decided to have lunch and tried it's neighbour, the Kilkenny Design Centre. On arrival we were greeted by the manager (I presume as he was in a suit) in a very friendly manner and directed us to the service counter where he explained how it all works. The food was super yummy and the cakes were out of this world. All the staff were so friendly and smiling. 10/10
